In this image of an intestinal villus, you can see the columnar epithelium that covers it and the lamina propria within. The columnar epithelium is made up of one layer of cells, but looks multilayered / stratified due to the section have been made through multipla cells at once. Within the lamina propria contain many capillaries and the lacteals, but is hard to spot in a normal section like this.

The lacteal is the main transport pathway for chylomicrons to the bloodstream. Chylomicrons are globular structures made up of triglycerides, cholesterol, phospholipids and proteins. The chylomicrons are too large to pass over the capillary wall of the villi intestinales.
