Testis from a child

This is the testis of a child. The tissue looks purple and the whole structure is covered by the tunica albuginea, which is fairly thick but less dense than in the adult testis. Outside the testis, the epididymis is also visible. Due to the way the the testis is sectioned, the epididymis can be seen in two locations in this image. Septa can be seen throughout the testis.
