Why do you think the gallbladder's subserosa has a rich vascular supply like the image is showing?

Well, in the subserosa of the gallbladder, there are plenty of vessels, arteries and veins. This may be because the gallbladder needs an abundant blood supply to be able to concentrate bile. This is an energy-intensive process that needs O2 (keyword Na-K-ATPase).
